In the modern era, if you want to boost your immunity with a homemade remedy, then Elderberry syrup is one of the best options, made with dried elderberries, honey, and warming spices. Elderberry syrup is naturally sweet, slightly tart, but delicious syrup.

Elderberry-Syrup-Recipe

 1 cup dried elderberries (or 2 cups fresh)
 4 cups water
 1 stick cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
 34 cloves whole cloves (or ½ tsp ground cloves)
 1 inch fresh ginger root, sliced (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
 1 cup raw honey

Simmer the Berries: In the first step, we take a saucepan and add elderberries, water, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger into it and bring it to a boil, then we lower the heat. After this, we’ll simmer it for 45 minutes or until the liquid reduces by almost half.

Strain: In the second step, we’ll remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl. We’ll be pressing the berries to release extra liquid and discard solids.

Cool and Add Honey: In the third step, we are going to let the liquid cool until lukewarm, then we stir in honey and mix until it gets smooth.

Bottle and Store: In the last step, we will pour the fresh syrup into a glass jar with a lid and going to store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
