In the modern era, if you want to boost your immunity with a homemade remedy, then Elderberry syrup is one of the best options, made with dried elderberries, honey, and warming spices. Elderberry syrup is naturally sweet, slightly tart, but delicious syrup.

Simmer the Berries: In the first step, we take a saucepan and add elderberries, water, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger into it and bring it to a boil, then we lower the heat. After this, we’ll simmer it for 45 minutes or until the liquid reduces by almost half.
Strain: In the second step, we’ll remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl. We’ll be pressing the berries to release extra liquid and discard solids.
Cool and Add Honey: In the third step, we are going to let the liquid cool until lukewarm, then we stir in honey and mix until it gets smooth.
Bottle and Store: In the last step, we will pour the fresh syrup into a glass jar with a lid and going to store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
